Faith Library Book Discussion

On June 20 - there will be a book discussion on Jane Smiley's - "Some Luck" sponsored by a grant from the South Dakota Humanities Council.  I am disappointed in finding that this book had some inappropriate language and explicit details that did not need to be in the book or I believe did not enhanced the story.  The author did not need to include this information.  "Some Luck" is a story of a family in Iowa who settled to farm during the 20s to the 50's.  The family, like many other families, discuss changes in growth and where the children grow and create their own families.  Discussion will include the book's characters in a characterization maps; personal experiences of families living during those times, parenting styles and life changes.  Please join us from 7-8 PM!  Also - what did you think of the book (please keep it professional)?  Thanks.
